Africa most longest serving presidents includes president from cameroon , Republic of congo , Uganda and Equitorial Guinea.

Continent of Africa , are well known for producing some of world Longest ever serving presidents.

1. Uganda 🇺🇬 Yoweri Museveni 76 years. In office since 1986.

Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Kaguta Museveni (born 15 September 1944) is a Ugandan politician who has served as President of Uganda since 1986. Museveni was involved in rebellions that toppled Ugandan notable  leaders such as Idi Amin (1971–79) and Milton Obote (1980–85) before he captured power in the 1980s.

He recently recontested again in Uganda with Election favourite Bobi Wine.

2. Equatorial Guinea 🇬🇶 Teodoro Obiang Nguema 78yrs. In office since 1979

Obiang  is also seeking to re run for another election in Equitorial guinea

3. Republic of the Congo 🇨🇬 Denis Sassou Nguesso. 77yrs. In office since 1976

Denis Sassou Nguesso (born 23 November 1943) is a Congolese politician who has been President of the Republic of the Congo since 1997. He was previously president from 1979 to 1992. During his first period as president, he headed the single-party régime of the Congolese Party of Labour (PCT) for 12 years.

4. Cameroon 🇨🇲 Paul Biya. 87yrs, in office since 1982.

Africa Most Longest Serving Presidents

Biya’s tenure as president began on 6 November 1982, making him the second-longest-ruling president in Africa (after Teodoro Obiang of Equatorial Guinea), the longest-ruling non-royal leader in the world, and the oldest head-of-state in Africa, at 87 years of age.

However all aforementioned president are still in power,  re – ran for election or have expressed interest to run again.

Due to the nature or system of government most african countries practice, some of their president have taken advantage of it to further extend their stay in office as president.

In some Cases many do win their re run elections unopposed .
