Chelsea not over with Ronaldo deal: Tuchel shares plan

Thomas Tuchel has revealed, in an interview with Sky Sports, that Chelsea may yet sign an attacker. When asked about acquiring a striker this summer, the boss responded:

“I would not rule it out [signing another striker] but right now it is not the priority. The priority right now is defence, it’s not a secret. From there we need to see what’s possible.

“We’re competing against the two top teams but Tottenham did a very active and aggressive and early transfer period, they have maybe the strongest squad they ever had with one of the best coaches in the world.

“Man Utd are never shy of recruiting with a new coach and Arsenal had some big signings already so we need to keep the level up to be competitive.”

On another note, Sterling is settling in as videos and images from his first training session at Chelsea surfaces.

Raheem Sterling was announced as a Chelsea player yesterday and going by the visuals we’re seeing of him in training, he is loving being a Blue.

He joined the squad for his first training session in LA yesterday and got a warm reception from the fans all wanting his autograph outside the training centre.

Tuchel also took the time out to welcome him while the players were all huddled around the boss and said “Have a good first training!”
