Dapo Abiodun : Ogun State governor , Dapo Abiodun has called on the federal government to take action on criminals who are Habouring in the forest to pepetrate evil on locals.
Speaking to news men after meeting with president Muhammadu Buhari at the Villa, Abuja during the weekend , said even thou they are people who legimately lives in the forest , they have also become hideout for criminals creating the ethnic tension in the country.
The governor in his speech warns local northern traditional leaders (Serikis), to keep records of farmers so as to quickly detect when an intruder inflate their ranks.
Dapo Abiodun Calls For Immediate Solution
Mr Abiodun urged the federal government to come up with decisive plan to tighten the country’s borders in a bid to control the entry of foreigners who engage in criminal activities and run back to their country.

Governor Dapo Abiodun said ” They have enjoined all their serikis and farmers to keep records of those who lives in their farms so as to know who when strangers come in, and be able to identify the strangers.
” It is our hope that the federal government will tighten our border , so that foreigners don’t just come in , commit a crime and easily run back to his country .
” Then something must be done on the forest that serves as homes to those Hoodlums perpetrating this havoc.
” The number of people’s living in the forest illegally are more than the number of people’s living their legally, so something must be done to curb this aspect.
” After intensive investigations, we found out that this are thing that have aided and escalated the ethnic havoc , and we believe if apporpriate measures are taken then , we can live as brothers and sisters just as we have lived for many years.
He further blame the escalation of tension on the media , especially on social media for the fast spreading of false news which most of the news aren’t true.
