David de Gea Names One Player That Cost Manchester United The 3 Points Vs Brentford

After one of his worst performances in a Manchester United shirt, David De Gea requested Sky Sports to do a post-match interview.

Taking responsibility for his actions in the 4-0 loss to Brentford, the Spaniard said: “I cost three points to my team today and it was a poor performance from myself.

“We should react better. I should save the first shot and the result would be different — sometimes I maybe have to read the game better and go long.

“We are not like other teams. They concede first and winning 5-1, 6-1.

“It was an easy save and I felt already it was going down, down, down — It was a poor performance.”

De Gea showed his inexperience at playing from the back as he struggled to build attacks with his poor distribution.

This will not suit Erik ten Hag’s system and the Red Devils have to go back to the drawing board before facing Liverpool next.
