Man United Backup Goalkeeper Martin Dubravka Reveals Reasons For His Poor Display Vs Burnley
Martin Dubravka has suggested that he was a tad rusty between the sticks in the 2-0 win over Burnley after spending most of 2022/23 on the sidelines.
Speaking to MUTV after the Carabao Cup fourth-round win, the Newcastle United loanee explained: “I think tonight we did what we had to do and that is to win the game.
“Some part of the game was great, some was not, but it was important that we keep a clean sheet and we won the game.
“Sometimes it is difficult, especially when you do not play that long. But it was important for us that we won and some parts of the game was very good.

“But now we have to build from this and the clean sheet is a bonus so I am happy for that one.”
Manchester United rely on David De Gea to do the job in goal and even Erik ten Hag has opted to trust the Spaniard.
Dubravka, on the other hand, has started just two games since moving to Old Trafford on loan – both appearances coming in the Carabao Cup.
Against Burnley, he almost conceded twice but in the first instance, Casemiro cleared the ball while in the second, Dubravka simply got lucky.
