Ousmane Dembele is close to agreeing on a deal with Chelsea, The Mirror report. The winger would become the first signing of the Todd Boehly era.
Dembele’s contract at Barcelona is set to expire on June 30. It appears that he will not be extending his contract with the Catalans.
In the 2021-22 season, Ousmane recorded 2 goals and 13 assists in 32 matches for Barcelona despite the mini fallout with the Catalan boss Xavi Hernandez.
Chelsea are also understood to be one of three Premier League clubs interested in RB Leipzig goalscorer Christopher Nkunku, according to L’Equipe.
The other two clubs are Man United and Newcastle. The latter, however, face an issue as the 24-year-old is not convinced about their project.
As per the source, Chelsea could become the first club to submit an offer to Leipzig.
Although the German side shows no desire to sell Nkunku who scored 20 goals for them in the Bundesliga.
But even at that, Chelsea still have a good relationship with Leipzig after a deal that saw Timo Werner swap Germany for London a couple of years ago.
