Speaking on Sky Sports, Andy Cole said: “£150 million for a holding midfield player? That’s a lot of money. Not sure how many goals he’s going to get you from that position.
“We were just talking, if the opportunity comes about when Declan Rice is available in the summer and you had Jude Bellingham come available, who would you spend your £150 million on?’
“I would go with Bellingham, he’s 18 years old and he goes that way [points up and down], creates chances, cores goals. For such a young man, his ability is absolutely frightening. Bellingham has something extra, just energy.”
Last week, David Moyes reiterated that it would take £150 million for West Ham to listen to offers for Rice before adding that the midfielder was ‘not for sale’.
Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Hammers midfielder as a potential Paul Pogba replacement with the Frenchman likely to leave in June.
