The Red Devils are ready to let the 37-year-old leave for free in the January transfer window if a mutual termination is agreed.
The Portuguese was dropped from the matchday squad against Chelsea last week after refusing to come on as a sub in the win over Tottenham and leaving the stadium before the final whistle.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who is currently training with the Man United reserves, openly pushed to leave Old Trafford in the summer to join play in the Champions League.
Meanwhile, Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has been reportedly keen on bringing Ronaldo to Stamford Bridge to strengthen Chelsea’s brand. However, Graham Potter has other priorities in the market. It’s not clear how the situation changes if Ronaldo becomes available for free.
