He has been amongst City’s most consistent performers but is looking to seek pastures new in the coming weeks.

Guardiola could also see more players head out of the door as he juggles a star-studded squad.

He was quizzed on Silva’s potential departure and said: “Not just Bernardo.

“There are two or three players that want to leave Man City but they are our players and when they bring some offer and they want to leave, we are open to discuss but it depends on them.”

The Catalan stopped short of naming the remaining players but several individuals face uncertain futures.

Raheem Sterling’s contract talks have not progressed and, having been a regular for so long, often found himself on the bench in the second-half of last season.

Gabriel Jesus is also understood to be frustrated with his playing time.

Centre-half Aymeric Laporte found himself out of the starting XI when John Stones hit top form, making just 16 league appearances.
Departures could help finance a deal for Harry Kane however with Tottenham wanting well in excess of £100m.

The striker has made his desire to leave known and Guardiola confessed they were among a number of teams who would like to add the England skipper.

“He is a player for Tottenham Hotspur and if Tottenham don’t want to negotiate, it is finished,” said the City boss.

“I think Man City and many clubs in the world want to try to sign him, we are not an exception, but it depends on Tottenham.

“It is different to Jack. He had the release [clause] and Jack is different. Harry is exceptional and we are interested in him but if Tottenham don’t want to negotiate, nothing more to say.”
