Mesut Ozil Rescues Gunnersaurus
Arsenal outcast german midfielder Mesut ozil has come to the aid of Gunnersaurus after the mascot was relief of his duties at the Emirate.
Jerry Quy was relieved of his mascot duties earlier this week .
After Arsenal deemed his services not necessary since Supporters are barred from games.

Quy became a household name at Arsenal after donning the famous dinosaur outfit in 1993.
Three years before legendary Arsene Wenger took charge.
Gunnersaurus who was on the touchline during the Arsenal golden era , which saw them won three Premier League titles.
but has now become the latest victim of cost-cutting measures amid the financial uncertainty of the coronavirus crisis.
Arsenal had announced in August , plans to cut the jobs that are deemed not necessary due to the impact of coronavirus.
The cut , which also affected players and the coaching staff in taking a pay cut.
Meanwhile reacting to the news of relieving the mascot of it’s duties was Arsenal legend paul Merson.
Merson have been among those to express his disappointment after the decision to part ways with Gunnersaurus.
“Unbelievable. All them kids, the Junior Gunners, there will be 30 and 40-year-old fans who have grown up with that dinosaur.
“It’s disappointing, I think it’s poor by Arsenal, I really do.”he concluded.
However ousted german midfielder Mesut ozil has come to the mascot rescue .
Via his official twitter handle the midfielder said
“I was so sad that Jerry Quy aka our famous & loyal mascot Gunnersaurus and integral part of our club was being made redundant after 27 years,”
“As such, I’m offering to help Arsenal with the full salary of our big green guy as long as I will be an Arsenal player.”
The kind gesture will likely only last until the summer of 2021.
