Speaking about Harry Maguire’s captaincy situation at Man United, Ralf Rangnick said: “About the captaincy, we have a captain with Harry Maguire.
“He will be the captain until the end of the season for sure. What will happen in the next one, two, or three years? I don’t know.
“That is not of any importance. For me, it is what will happen in the next three months.”
Rangnick has defended Maguire from criticism recently and seems to be full faith in his club captain.
Despite calls for him to be stripped of the captaincy, the Englishman will remain the skipper until the end of the season – but has to put up good performances to keep that role when a new manager arrives next season.
