Speaking to the media on Friday, Ralf Rangnick said: “Five players will still be missing for tomorrow and some of them probably for the upcoming games.
“You already know about Fred and Scott McTominay, Raphael Varane will still be missing out, Luke Shaw and Edinson Cavani too.
In fact, it’s nearly impossible that Shaw will return until the end of the 2021/22 season after having ‘bolts and metal stuff’ removed from his leg.
Rangnick added: “He will be out for another at least four-five weeks, so I think for him it will be difficult to be available for one of the remaining seven games.”
Alex Telles, Victor Lindelof, Nemanja Matic, and Paul Pogba are likely to be included in the starting XI against Norwich City on Saturday given Manchester United’s injuries.
