Marcus Rashford Explains Why Manchester United Need To Win The Carabao Cup This Season

“It’s massively important because I feel like the year when we won it [2017], it just pushed us,” explained Marcus Rashford while discussing the Carabao Cup fourth-round win over Burnley with MUTV.

“We were chasing that feeling again. It does a whole lot for your confidence, and for your desire, to keep winning so it’ll be massive for us to try to win that, and all the players and staff are giving everything to do that.

“I think the lads that didn’t go to the World Cup trained really well and they’ve had some tough games and they’re really fit.

“From the last couple of days in training, from the lads that have been away, we’ve come back in and the standard has been really high and that’s what we need.”

The Manchester United forward added: “I’m pleased with the training that we’ve had and with the game today. We can kick on now and keep winning games of football because that’s what is important.”

Rashford was among the goalscorers in the 2-0 victory and we hope to see him maintain the form in the Premier League as well.

United are yet to discover their opponents for the quarter-final but will do so once the Manchester City vs Liverpool clash is done.
