Brendan Rogers Names 1 Man United Player That Should Have Been Sent Off Vs His Leicester Side

“It’s a sending-off – straight leg onto the knee,” complained Brendan Rodgers in his post-match press conference while discussing Marcel Sabitzer’s tackle on Wout Faes.

“How it wasn’t looked at and deemed that, it was incredible really when I see it. I don’t know [why it wasn’t reviewed].

“Someone has said it was maybe after an incident but I don’t really buy that one.

“If you look at Arsenal’s penalty against Manchester City, Eddie Nketiah is in on goal, he has a shot but the follow-through makes it a penalty, which makes it a foul.”

The Leicester City boss added: “In this instance, even if the play has stopped, he’s followed through and straight-legged him right on his knee.”

Replays do make the incident seem worse than it is but Sabitzer is spotted pulling away once he realised the ball was played away from defence.

United were the better side for majority of the 3-0 win over Leicester, giving us a nice boost in our possible title challenge.
