Manchester United have revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration against Everton was a “self-deprecating nod to the position in which he sleeps when traveling with the squad, which hasn’t gone unnoticed by his team-mates who are all eager to learn from him”.
Ronaldo notched his 700th club goal, executing a superb left-footed finish into the bottom corner of Jordan Pickford’s net. The Portuguese and new team-mate Antony then stood upright with their heads back, eyes closed, and fingers crossed in front of their chests.
Ronaldo’s goal was the decider as United won 2-1. He is likely to lead the attack on Thursday in the Europa League clash with Omonia.

The goal was also his first of the season in the Premier League after scoring 18 times in the competition for Manchester United last season.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who has openly asked to leave Old Trafford last summer seems to be settling into Erik ten Hag’s team so far after several attempts to leave Manchester United failed until the end of last transfer.
