Manchester United rescued a point against Chelsea on Thursday thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo’s second-half equalizer.
The Portuguese ran his socks off at Old Trafford, a stark comparison to Marcus Rashford who looked like he simply couldn’t be bothered.
Man United fans spotted a key episode from the Chelsea game that highlighted the difference: Ronaldo was pointing to Rashford to cover his position on the left.
I was at the game mate let me tell you rashford didn't even try or even bother it was horrendous. Cr7 was all over that pitch he was the leader without him we'll be doomed & supposedly he was suppose to be the problem ayy.— Fizzy Mahmood (@Rudeboiifizzy) April 29, 2022
Imagine being a fit 24 year old playing for your boyhood team & seeing Ronaldo sprint back from the front to cover your position more than once & then continuing to just stroll around halfheartedly.— jb8521 (@jb_8521) April 28, 2022
Rashford never presses but it’s okay because he’s English and his name isn’t Cristiano Ronaldo!— ّ (@Asensii20) April 28, 2022
Rashford perfectly sums up the issue at United. Years of zero accountability has made him think he's a superstar that's too good to put effort in. Meanwhile the greatest of all time Ronaldo, at 37, putting the most effort in every game— ' (@AniUTD) April 28, 2022
