Confirmed: Antonio Rudiger Finally Chooses Another Club Over Chelsea As He Sets To Leave For Free

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that defender Antonio Rudiger will leave the club for free once his contract expires in the summer.

Speaking about his situation after his side’s win over West Ham United on Sunday, the German gaffer said: “The situation is that he (Rudiger) wants to leave the club. He informed me of this is in a private talk.

“We gave everything – me and the club – but we could not fight anymore because of the actions. Without the sanctions, we would at least be able to carry on fighting, but out hands are tied. We don’t take it personally. It is his decision.”
