Scott McTominay Finally Reveals His Best Position After Scoring 4 Goals In 2 Games For Scotland

Speaking to Viaplay, Scott McTominay said: “As a kid, I was an attacking midfielder, then I became more of a sitting midfield player.

“But I like to do both, I like to get in the box and go forward but I also like to help my team-mates defend as well.

“For me, I’ve got to keep doing that, I know I can add more goals and assists to my game, and I think the last two games are a good example of that.”

Scotland surprisingly beat Spain 2–0 in a Euro 2024 qualifier on Tuesday night with McTominay scoring a goal in each half to seal the result at home.

Some Manchester United fans are now actually calling for the 26-year-old to be used in a more advanced role but Erik ten Hag is unlikely to experiment that way.
