ESPN’s Rob Dawson provided a few extra details to the story of Cristiano Ronaldo returning to training with the Man United squad on Tuesday.
Contrary to other reports, he claims that there were no showdown talks earlier today.
Instead, Ronaldo was ‘in constant dialogue’ with Erik ten Hag over the weekend. As a result, he re-joined the squad on Tuesday because on Monday they were given a day off.

Ten Hag was reportedly happy to see this issue resolved. Both he and the forward are willing to move on.
Cristiano Ronaldo is now likely to be in the Man United squad for the Europa League game against Sheriff on Thursday.
