Erik ten Hag is ready to get rid of Cristiano Ronaldo if any club shows interest in January. This is according to renowned Man United reporter, David McDonnel.

“Despite Ten Hag claiming he wants Cristiano Ronaldo to stay at #mufc for the remainder of the season, it is understood there is a willingness to allow him to leave in January if a club can be found for him”, he was quoted as saying.

“Ten Hag wants to see genuine contrition from Cristiano Ronaldo over his conduct, before allowing him to resume training with the #mufc first-team”.

Ronaldo has endured a difficult start to the campaign under the Dutchman. The Portuguese wasn’t happy at being left on the bench against Tottenham and failed to enter the fray in the second half, leaving Old Trafford before full time.

He was subsequently banished to train alone and left out of the squad to face Chelsea. It is unknown if he will return for the Europa League game against PSV on Thursday.
