Ralf Rangnick has identified a lack of mental strength and inability to over adversity within his Man United squad, claims ESPN.
The German has been alarmed by how on quite a few times dominant performances have deteriorated into situations where the Red Devils have to hang on for a point.
Rangnick has been impressed by Scott McTominay and Luke Shaw’s ability to lift their performances when United have fallen behind or lost the lead in games.
There’s a belief that some players get distracted by errors, causing the team problems, while others have allowed frustration to affect their performances.
Rangnick regards Shaw and McTominay for two having admirable leadership qualities and being two genuine fighters in the squad.
The German will hope his team can pick up their performances quickly and end the season well to have a fighting chance of finishing in the Premier League top-4.
