Thomas Tuchel makes final decision as Alonso seek exit from Chelsea
Chelsea boss did not include Marcos Alonso in his squad for the Everton game amid rumours that he is trying to secure his move to Barcelona.
Speaking to the press after the game, Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that those things are linked.
“He tries to leave and we agreed to this. It would make no sense to put him on the pitch today,” Tuchel said, as per journalist Adam Newson.
Alonso has reportedly agreed a three-year deal with Barcelona. The Spainard is expected to return to his home country after six years at Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, Tuchel has his eyes on securing new arrivals at Chelsea
“I think if we can add to the squad we have,” Thomas Tuchel told Sky Sports after the Everton win.
“Midfielders maybe not the first option but we can use new legs and fresh input to bring us to a new level. If not, we will push.
“We could use some input and more quality. We are on it but we won’t tell you.”
Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella evidently added quality to the team that was otherwise not at its best against Everton.
The Blues are certainly talking about defence, with Wesley Fofana being their priority option right now.
