Tuchel Names 2 Defenders He Wants At Chelsea To Replace Antonio Rudiger & Andreas Christensen

As per the reliable reporter Di Marzio, Chelsea are looking to reinforce their defense and there are two names to keep an eye on.

Jules Kounde is the first name – he is a ‘priority’ for Chelsea and Marina Granovskaia is in regular contact with Kounde’s agents – she shares a good relationship with his camp.

The other name is Nathan Ake of Manchester City. The center-back moved to the Etihad for a fee of £41 million in 2020 but has not had much playing time there, making 40 appearances in two seasons with half of them coming from the bench.

Tuchel is a ‘big fan’ of Ake, who started off his career with Chelsea before being sold to Bournemouth in 2017 for £20 million. The Blues had a buy-back clause in his contract but didn’t trigger it when he left for City.

Di Marzio adds that this is ‘a situation to keep an eye out on’, suggesting that we may see further developments on this front in the coming days.
