Former Everton striker Jermaine Beckford has stated that Thomas Tuchel is not getting the most out of Kai Havertz as he hasn’t played him in his strongest position.
“With Kai Havertz, I’m a huge admirer of his. I don’t think he’s built to be a number nine. That’s not his natural position,” Beckford told talkSPORT.
“That’s not where we see the best of him. He works better when he’s working alongside somebody or as a number 10.”

Havertz notched 14 goals and 6 assists in all competitions in the 2021/22 season and played largely in the CF role for Chelsea during that time.
