Man United have confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will be dropped from the squad for the Chelsea game after storming out against Tottenham Hotspur.
The club said in a statement: “Cristiano Ronaldo will not be part of the Manchester United squad for this Saturday’s game against Chelsea. The rest of the squad is fully focused on preparing for that fixture.”
The Athletic also confirms that Ronaldo will now be made to train all alone, as Erik ten Hag punishes him for his shocking antics against Spurs.
It remains to be seen when and how Ronaldo can get back into the team, as Ten Hag brings the hammer down on him for his poor attitude.
On the other hand, it is claimed by Daily Mail’s Chris Wheeler that Cristiano Ronaldo did not even want to be brought on as a substitute in the second half of Man United’s win over Tottenham Hotspur.
The Portuguese forward reportedly refused to be brought onto the field, defying Erik ten Hag’s orders.
He would then go on storm into the dressing room before full-time, leaving fans angry and shocked.
