Just In: Manchester United Names Cristiano Ronaldo’s Heavy Fine After Tottenham’s Antics

It appears that Erik ten Hag is coming down hard on Cristiano Ronaldo after the Tottenham incident at Old Trafford.

According to Neil Custis of The Sun, a tier-two source, the Portuguese is now facing a two weeks’ wages fine of £720,000 for defying the manager.

The 37-year-old headed straight down the tunnel before full-time during Manchester United’s goalless draw against the Magpies on October 16 without the Dutchman’s permission.

Ronaldo was then dropped from the matchday squad to face Chelsea the following week and barred from training with the rest of the first-team squad. It remains to be seen what’s next for Cristiano at Man United.

Meanwhile, it’s not yet certain the day the Portuguese international will return to the first-team squad with Manchester United after sitting out the Chelsea game over the weekend. However, Erik ten Hag had earlier hinted that he would like to reunite with the forward as soon as possible.
