Bruno Fernandes & 3 Other Man United Players Who Could Miss Atletico Madrid Clash Revealed

Bruno Fernandes has tested positive for Covid-19, which is why he missed the Tottenham Hotspur game.

Ralf Rangnick confirmed this after Man United’s win over Spurs on Sunday and hinted he’s a doubt for the Atletico Madrid game too.

He said: “Luke [Shaw] hopefully will be back in training tomorrow and Bruno we will have to wait and see until Tuesday. This will probably be a last-minute race with him.”

Rangnick also gave an update on Scott McTominay, claiming: “With Scotty, I hope so but he had some muscular problems with his calf.

“That’s why we decided not to play him today, because Scotty is quite like Fred, he is only valuable if he can perform with 100% of his physical capacity and rather than playing him at maybe 80% and take the risk that he will be out for Tuesday, we decided to not play him.”

The Red Devils didn’t really miss Fernandes’ presence in the win over Spurs, with Fred excelling in an advanced role and helping assist Cristiano Ronaldo’s first goal as well.
