Robin van Persie made a surprise appearance at Carrington this Wednesday and was part of Erik ten Hag’s pre-match press conference.
Ten Hag invited the former Manchester United man, as per the official website, to watch the club’s latest training session as he works on getting his coaching badges.
Van Persie will also interview compatriot Ten Hag for his incredible work at Old Trafford this season.
Acknowledging the change in the environment, Van Persie told MUTV: “The vibes at Carrington and Old Trafford have changed dramatically.

“It’s become more positive, the ambience in the place. The cafeteria has even changed. It’s like everything has changed. Looks different, feels different, food’s different.
“I was on my own, walking back out through the training ground, through the corridors, and I stood there and just smiled. I can sense something happening in here now.
“I don’t what it is or where it’s going to but the ambience is very different. There’s a confidence in the place.”
Meanwhile, the Manchester Evening News cited sources within the club who confirmed that Van Persie was not there to potentially join Ten Hag’s coaching staff. Wouldn’t that be amazing though?
