Romelu Lukaku scored a long-awaited goal in the Club World Cup game against Al Hilal, his first since the win over Chesterfield.
However, there was no sign of elation or even relief on his face after scoring:
This is simply because the Belgian could not have been satisfied with himself as even before scoring, he failed to covert several pretty good chances against a team from Saudi Arabia.
Lukaku’s goal was enough to send the Blues to their fifth final since Thomas Tuchel’s regime under 1 year.
The Champions League and the Super Cup are the only trophies Chelsea actually won under Tuchel. They’ll have a chance to add the Club World Cup to the cabinet on Saturday when they take on Palmeiras. In a few weeks, they also take on Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final.
